The Flowers of the World mural series is a collaborative project created in partnership with seniors from the El Perchel neighborhood, INCIDE, Málaga Social Services, and artist Julia Gutman. This project was created to commemorate the diversity and history of the El Perchel neighborhood in Málaga. The seniors designed the vases for each mural during workshops led by María and Vito from INCIDE. All the seniors live in El Perchel, and most grew up there. This mural pays tribute to these long-time residents and celebrates the heritage of all the neighbors.

The seniors' designs were uploaded to a drawing app, where they were resized and their colors adjusted to match the mural's palette. Artist Julia Gutman drew the flowers and designed the rest of the mural. The murals were painted collaboratively over three weeks in June 2026.
