Murals

Our mural program began at Julia de Burgos Elementary School as a school-wide beautification initiative. It was designed to create a colorful and positive school atmosphere while also providing students with an opportunity to leave an artistic legacy. This project enabled students to work collaboratively in planning, designing, and painting murals in the school's halls. Students developed teamwork, design, and project management skills in addition to gaining a sense of pride and care for the school environment. As we have expanded, we have taken these same principles into our community murals.
