Murals

Our mural program began at Julia de Burgos Elementary School as a school-wide beautification initiative. It was designed to foster a colorful, positive school atmosphere while also giving students an opportunity to leave an artistic legacy. This project enabled students to work collaboratively in planning, designing, and painting murals in the school's halls. Students developed teamwork, design, and project management skills, and gained a sense of pride and care for the school environment. As we have expanded, we have taken these same principles into our other community mural projects.
